A vision for your family
In this interactive session parents explore the various influences on the family and through object lessons realize the need to “begin with the end in mind.”
The time we have children in our homes is relatively short compared to a lifetime.
We discuss that creating a vision for our families and living it out day-to-day is an urgent
matter.
This is the most important part of the process. The families we grew up in have a significant impact on our parenting today. Parents examine the influences and impacts of their family of origin and are guided through a process of identifying what they would like to repeat or not repeat in their own family.
In this part of the process parents, with their children, work together to identify the characteristics and attributes they want to build into their family. The result is a unique family mission statement that serves as a vision for the family and a foundation for a plan.
This statement is unique to each family and helps parents be unified and intentional in their parenting. It's the beginning of your journey in intentional parenting.
